Position Summary:
Responsible for: 1) Providing strong financial leadership, insight and expertise to Product Supply Organization 2) Provide analytical leadership for larger, more complex projects in the division.
Key Responsibilities (in descending order of importance):
- Lead the Total Delivered Cost financial processes (Budget and Actuals) supporting PSO Finance Manager and PSO leadership team. Facilitate consistency of direction/communication amongst the larger PSO team.
- Work with the Director of Purchasing to administer our Costs savings program including the analysis of opportunities and reporting/tracking of their effect on margin; Lead Finance and Accounting (F&A) contact in the cost savings team
- Partner with customer care and customer service to understand customer needs and logistics that impact how we make and ship product to identify process/cost improvements for company
- Own Executive Scorecard and SBU Scorecard Process and Financial Analytics
- Identify opportunities to complete analysis to support BU strategy and drive business results
- Solid knowledge of accounting and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures and assist in developing and/or identifying gaps in policies and processes
Special Projects: - Identify issue/opportunities to improve system utilization and reporting
- Provide adhoc cost analysis
- Lead Finance introduction orientation/training sessions
- Participate in company-wide initiatives to improve F&A customer service and performance
Minimum Requirements:
- 4-6 years of Finance, Accounting, or related experience; prior experience in Forecast and Cost preferred
- SAP experience preferred
- Consumer Packaged Goods or Manufacturing experience preferred
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP; thorough knowledge of financial reporting and experience in interpreting accounting and finance-related projects
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis valuation techniques; strong analytical skills
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain principles and concepts
- Strong understanding of discounted cash flow modeling
- Ability to take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution. Strong leadership skills
- Strong ability to influence and drive change.
- Ability to interact with functional area management with some interaction with executive levels in the organization
- Ability to influence others and learn how to become a true business partner with customers and other functions.
- Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work on cross-functional activities and form solid business relationships
- Well organized with ability to prioritize and self manage workload
- Ability to develop effective presentation skills through frequent presentations to senior management.
- Strong working knowledge of PC applications with strong excel skills (Microsoft Office preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance (MBA preferred), Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
